A fierce battle between the pillars! Looking back at the fierce battle between the pillars and the upper rank demons in "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"

In the story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," the battle between the pillars and the upper-rank demons is the most heated, and many moving scenes are depicted. The pillars are the strongest warriors in the Demon Slayer Corps, and their strength and skills as they challenge the upper-rank demons are so powerful that readers and viewers are left breathless. In this article, Osamu Manga looks back on the fierce battle between the pillars and the upper-rank demons, and looks back on the moving and fierce battles depicted in it.

1. Rengoku Kyojuro vs Akaza (Mugen Train Arc)

The first one to introduce is the battle between the Flame Pillar Rengoku Kyojuro and Upper Rank Three Akaza, depicted in the movie "Mugen Train Arc." This battle is one of the most moving in the series, depicting Rengoku's overwhelming power and strong beliefs. Akaza tries to tempt Rengoku to become a demon and gain the power to fight forever, but Rengoku protects his "pride as a human" to the end.

Rengoku's flame breathing technique, "Rengoku Nineth Form: Rengoku," was a blow that he put all his heart and soul into, and it colored his fierce battle with Akaza. Rengoku's words, "I won't let anyone die," until the very end, strongly conveyed his resolve and conviction as a Pillar, and deeply moved Tanjiro and us viewers.

This is what Osamu Manga thought! Rengoku's final battle was a moment that highlighted his strength as a human being. His words, "Burn your heart," resonated deeply not only with Tanjiro and the others, but with us as well.

2. Uzui Tengen vs. Gyutaro & Daki (Entertainment District Arc)

Next, we will introduce the fierce battle between Uzui Tengen, the Sound Pillar, and Upper Rank Six Gyutaro & Daki, depicted in the Entertainment District Arc. The highlights of the battle at the red light district were Uzui's flashy fighting style and the coordinated attacks of the brother-sister demons Gyutaro and Daki, and the animation of the battle scenes was of stunning quality.

Uzui uses Sound Breathing to unleash techniques that are both flashy and powerful, but struggles with Gyutaro's powerful Blood Demon Arts. However, Uzui's fighting refusal to give up until the end, working together with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, made us feel his pride as a Pillar.

In this battle, Uzui unleashes his Sound Breathing First Form Todoroki, a technique that makes use of his speed and strength, and his flashy yet delicate fighting style shone through.

Osamu Manga thought this! Uzui's flashy fighting style and the back-and-forth offensive and defensive battle with Gyutaro were the most exciting! His boldness and the cooperation with his allies matched perfectly, making it a very worthwhile battle.

3. Muichiro Tokito vs Hantengu (Swordsmith Village Arc)

The battle between the Mist Pillar Muichiro Tokito and Upper Rank Four Hantengu is one of the fiercest battles between the Pillars and the Upper Rank Demons. Muichiro was initially a calm and emotionless character, but through this battle, he regains his past and lost memories, awakening to his true strength.

Hantengu corners Muichiro using his splitting ability born from the emotion of fear, but Muichiro gradually regains his own strength and defeats Hantengu using his secret technique, the "Mist Breathing." His "Mist Breathing, Tenth Form, Dispersed Spray" is a technique that toyed with the enemy like mist while delivering a decisive blow, and it was a moment when his quiet and beautiful swordsmanship stood out.

Osamu Manga thought this! This battle, which showed Muichiro's growth, was the moment when he faced his past and demonstrated his true power as a Pillar. The beauty and strength of his technique were fused together, which was impressive.

4. Sanemi Shinazugawa vs Kokushibo (Infinity Castle Arc)

The battle between the Wind Pillar Sanemi Shinazugawa and Upper Rank One Kokushibo was depicted as one of the climaxes of the Infinity Castle Arc. Kokushibo is one of the strongest demons and has overwhelming sword skills. Sanemi challenges Kokushibo using his Wind Breathing technique, but his power is overwhelming.

The battle with Kokushibo depicts Sanemi's indomitable spirit and brotherly love. He confronts Kokushibo with his younger brother Genya, and his attitude of never giving up even in a hopeless situation is impressive. Sanemi's "Wind Breathing Nine Form Idaten Typhoon" is a technique with the speed and destructive power of the wind, and the intense battle with Kokushibo was a highlight.

This is what Osamu Manga thought! This fight really touched my heart, showing the brotherly love and determination of Sanemi. It was impressive to see the brothers fighting together against the strength of Kokushibo.

5. Shinobu Kocho vs Douma (Mugenjo Arc)

The fight between Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Pillar, and Douma, the Upper Rank Two, was a touching scene of sadness and anger. Shinobu has a strong desire for revenge against Douma, who once killed her sister, and her fight is not just a fight as a pillar, but is strongly intertwined with her personal feelings.

Shinobu does not have powerful swordsmanship like the other pillars, and her style is to defeat demons using poison, but in her fight against Douma, she makes full use of that poison and fights until the end without giving up. This fight, which depicts her determination and sacrifice, is very moving, and in the end, Kanao and Inosuke, who inherited Shinobu's feelings, defeat Douma.

This is what Osamu Manga thought! Shinobu's fight was a scene that showed her strong will and desire for revenge, and her sadness was really conveyed. Her fighting style using poison was also very much like hers, and it was a moving fight.

6. Giyu Tomioka vs Enmu (Infinity Train Arc)

The last one I'd like to introduce is the fight between Water Pillar Giyu Tomioka and Lower Moon One Enmu. In the Infinity Train Arc, Tanjiro and Kyojuro Rengoku play major roles, but Giyu also plays an important role in the battle. His Water Breathing Eleventh Form "Nagi" perfectly blocks Enmu's attack, and then he and Tanjiro work together to corner Enmu.

Giyu's calm and efficient fighting style shows his true strength as the Water Pillar, and his true value was demonstrated in the fierce battle with Enmu.

Osamu Manga thought this! Giyu's fighting style is really cool and calm. The way he neutralized the enemy's attacks with "Nagi" was so cool, and I felt his strength as a pillar once again.

Summary

The battles of the pillars that appear in "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" strongly depict the pride and determination of the strongest warriors of the Demon Slayer Corps. Their battles are not just a show of strength, but also strongly reflect the individual emotions and backgrounds they carry, deeply moving the viewers. The fierce battles between the pillars and the Upper Rank demons introduced in Osamu's manga are all memorable scenes that make you feel the growth and bond between the characters.

I would like to continue to immerse myself in the story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" while watching the outcome of their battles!
